Or my mind slipped. <br /><br />I loved Judge Turk. He was always friendly, and helpful. Always willing to talk. I recall speaking with him after I had finished my first jury trial before him, which I had lost. He invited me back to his office, and said, Jerry, I could tell you were unhappy with some of my evidentiary ruling. <br /><br />I said, yes sir, you completely ignored the Rules of evidence! He just smiled, and laid out his rule you mention. And he added: I've never been reversed for letting too much in, only when I kept something out. <br /><br />Regarding the conduct of the trial, I was caught off guard by his comments on the evidence. He told one of the Defendants, when I was questioning him, "You don't expect the jury to believe that, do you?"<br /><br />He also had lots of stories about election fraud in Dickenson and Wise a Counties. <br /><br />Thanks for your post.
