In
Reed v. Sword, Chief Judge Jones ruled that the plaintiff should be given a chance to prove his claims that the termination of his employment as a corrections officer was in violation of his rights under the First and Fourteenth Amendments, where he claimed that after he filed a workers' compensaiton claim, he was denied re-employment without procedural due process and in violation of the First Amendment and the Equal Protection Clause.
