Ferrum College admits some fault in student suicide case
Ferrum College, located in Franklin County, has taken the apparently unprecedented step of acknowledge some responsibility for the suicide of one of its students, according to this report in the Roanoke Times, which says that the college "has acknowledged that 'errors in judgment and communication by school personnel' were partly responsible for the suicide of one of its students more than three years ago, in what is believed to be the first time an American college or university has made such an acceptance of responsibility."
