No error in refusing to appoint psychiatrist for murder defendant

Yesterday, in Page v. Lee, the Fourth Circuit in an opinion by Judge Luttig, joined by Judge Williams, with Judge Gregory concurring in the result, affirmed the conviction and death sentence of a North Carolina man who killed a police officer, concluding that he was not wrongfully denied a court-appointed forensic psychiatrist.
