Roanoke man gets reversal of fortune on impeachment evidence, including application to Victim's Compensation fund

The Virginia Court of Appeals has reversed the conviction of a Roanoke man for malicious wounding, because the trial court erroneously excluded evidence of the victim's statements about the incident, including information he supplied on a written application for money from the Commonwealth's fund to compensate crime victims.
