A group calling themselves Equity in Athletics, Inc. have filed a constitutional challenge in the federal court in Harrisonburg to the federal government's application of Title IX to the sports programs at James Madison University, the College of William & Mary, Longwood University, Old Dominion University, and Virginia Tech. A young man from our neighborhood went to JMU for cross-country, only to see the program eliminated, as was reported in the NY Times and elsewhere.
